Dr. Furrh is an experienced mentor, having supported nurse practitioners and physician assistants across a variety of treatment settings. His goal is to facilitate the independent practice of the NP/PA with routine meetings and PRN consultation, maximizing autonomy and independent judgement. Rates are reasonable and flexible. Having a broad base of experience in the field of psychopharmacology, Dr. Furrh offers interviews and consultation for marketing research to pharmaceutical companies and other entities.

Dr. Furrh is an experienced educator, having taught medicine and psychiatry to medical students, medical residents, and students in NP school. Unfortunately, Dr. Furrh cannot currently accept preceptorships due to VA regulations on this issue.

Dr. Furrh has given several lectures and presentations across a range of topics in the field of psychiatry, particularly on psychopharmacology, medication side effects, and the management of insomnia in the psychiatric patient. Dr. Furrh is open to invitations for lectures and speaking engagements, whether academic or corporate.
